We’re an Industry Super Fund, which means we are run only to benefit our members. We support our members by investing back into the construction and building industry and creating jobs, through our property development company, Cbus Property*.

Our purpose
Our House Rules are created to keep Cbus-owned social media platforms safe, collaborative and valuable for Cbus community managers and moderators, and you - our community members. This includes the Cbus Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube platforms (subject to change over time). At Cbus, we make hard work pay off. That’s why everyone plays a part in keeping our community inclusive.
By participating in the Cbus Super social media community, you agree to adhere to our House Rules, which will develop over time. So, we encourage you to engage and ask questions accordingly, so we can help you on your journey to your best retirement.
It’s our responsibility to:
Always provide real value, help and support in the first instance.
Manage personal information in accordance with privacy laws and Cbus’ privacy policy, including removing personal information.
Take on board all feedback – the good, the bad, and the ugly - to help improve our members’ experiences.
Remove posts that we consider disrespectful, offensive, graphic, inappropriate, hateful, abusive, racial or promoting criminal behaviours. This includes warning and/or banning serious or repeat offenders from interacting.
Remove third party solicitations or advertisements. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency.
Not provide financial product advice, as this can only be provided by persons authorised under an Australian Financial Services Licence.
Escalate complaints about the Fund or inquiries about members’ superannuation entitlements.
It’s your responsibility to:
Not use profanity.
Be constructive and inclusive, not aggressive. Think about the language you choose to use and how it might impact others reading, including your family and friends.
Politely ask us questions and let us know what you’d like to know more or less about.
Not provide financial product advice, as this can only be provided by persons authorised under an Australian Financial Services Licence.
Not upload materials without full permission of all subjects, authors or owners of the image before uploading. While we welcome contributions to our Facebook page, we do not endorse the content of those contributions.
Share personal information publicly, including address, phone number, email address, date of birth, bank or member account details or amounts, tax file numbers, health information. Please message us with your details privately.
Content moderation
Cbus moderators work hard to keep conversations on our social platforms friendly, engaging, and helpful. If we feel a comment is harmful, we’ll take action. We do not, and you should not tolerate:
Personal Attacks. Lively discussions are encouraged, but when disagreements turn into arguments, personal attacks should not be made.
Discrimination or prejudice based upon race, colour, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status. These will be removed from our page immediately.
References to distressing subjects including slang referring to illicit drugs, sexual acts, anything liable or socially unacceptable.
SPAM. Generally defined as an unsolicited message towards your community, not limited to surveys, contests, pyramid schemes, chain letters and commercial messages.
Hawking. Referred to as the sale of financial items, products or services as a result of an unsolicited phone communication or meeting.
Criminal or Immoral Activity. Any mention of or reference to criminal or immoral activity is not be permitted, including, but not limited to illegal drug use, prostitution, fraud, stalking, extortion, terrorism, and any threat of violence against another user.

Hide the interaction
Restrict member’s ability to post
Remove the post or member from our community
